North Shore works with many charity’s car donation programs to help them get donation vehicles picked up. We work with your schedule and coordinate a pickup time that is convenient for you.

    Epilepsy Foundation

    Created in 1946 as a grassroots effort in Illinois to help people with epilepsy, the Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Chicago is a not-for-profit, incorporated in Illinois, serving 43 counties, offering counseling, advocacy and educational services to people with epilepsy, their families, and the communities in which they live.

    Vietnam Veterans of America

    Founded in 1978, Vietnam Veterans of America is the only national Vietnam veterans organization congressionally chartered and exclusively dedicated to Vietnam-era veterans and their families. VVA is organized as a not-for-profit corporation ans is tax-exempt under Section 501 (c) (19) of the Internal Revenue Service Code. VVA's goals are to promote and support the full range of issues important to Vietnam veterans, to create a new identity for this generation of veterans, and to change public perception of Vietnam veterans. VVA relies totally on private contributions for its revenue and does not receive any funding from federal, state or local governments.

    Shore Community Services

    Serving the developmentally disabled since 1951. The early childhood intervention program serves infants to three-year-olds who are experiencing developmental delays. The adult program provides services for people 21 years of age and older. Basic skills are taught and vocational opportunities are introduced to the adults in the program.

The shelter is a no-kill shelter committed to helping animals in need. Its primary focus is on the rescue, shelter and adoption of cats, dogs and rabbits, the three most popular pets in the United States.

    Our Lady of Guadalupe

    For more than 15 years, Our Lady of Guadalupe has been drawing pilgrims to the grounds of Maryville Academy in Des Plaines. the devotion to Our Lady of Guadalupe took root at Maryville and grew to the point that up to 3,500 worshippers attend mass at the site every weekend. There are plans to add to the site, both additional areas for prayer and practical facilities such as bathrooms.

    Magnificent Mutts

    Magnificent Mutts Rescue is a non-for-profit, 501(c)3, licensed animal shelter dedicated to caring for and finding loving homes for any animal: abandoned, abused, neglected or in need of assistance for any reason. Our mission is to reduce the number of animals in kill-shelters by educating the public on issues such as the importance of proper training, animal health, and puppy mills through our public outreach and training programs. Magnificent Mutts Rescue consists of a group of dedicated volunteers who provide love, hope and a safe sanctuary to our animals in need. Volunteers transport, foster, nurture and train our many animals. The volunteers show the animals that humans do indeed care, through tender loving time and nurture. As a team, and the help of generous donations from the public, we are able to make our mission a success.

    MAMA – Mothers Against Murders Anonymous

    Founded by a mother, Barbara, whose son Parris was murdered on August 17, 2007. He was only 35 years old. His three year old daughter was with him when he was shot in the chest and died. There was a parking lot full of people and not one eyewitness has come forward with information about his murder. MAMA is a non-profit organization that anyone can call with anonymous tips of eyewitness accounts of a murder. This is our way of combating the growing problem of gang violence. Your child could be the next innocent victim. There is no honor among murderers. They will kill again. Donations to MAMA will raise reward money for the victims.

    Literacy Volunteers of Lake County

    Lake County Adult Learning Connection's mission is to extend educational opportunities to Lake county adult students and their families. They design an individualized education plan based on assessment, student goals and abilities. They train and support tutors who volunteer their services to assist students in developing basic English communication skills in reading, writing and mathematics.


    Links - North Shore Youth Health Service empowers young people to make informed, responsible decisions about their health, well-being and sexuality. Links provides health education in the schools and community, medical care and counseling, and support services for sexual minority youth. Confidential services are offered in a safe and caring environment.

    Les Turner ALS Foundation

    It is the only independent publicly supported non-profit organization in the Chicago-area devoted solely to the treatment and elimination of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), better known as Lou Gehrig's disease.

    The Illinois Council of the Blind is a not for profit charitable corporation organized in 1933. The purpose of the Illinois Council of the Blind is to promote the general welfare of citizens in Illinois who are blind. Our goal is to improve the quality of life for all blind and visually impaired citizens of Illinois. Our objectives include protecting the rights and privileges of visually impaired Illinois citizens by monitoring legislation, agencies, and organizations that provide services for them. We also provide mutual encouragement and support through social change. The Illinois Council of the Blind is an autonomous state organization. It is affiliated with the American Council of the Blind which benefits the blind and visually impaired people of the United States.

    Ida Crown Jewish Academy

    Over 65 years ago, eight visionaries, leaders from the Associated Talmud Torahs of Chicago and Hebrew Theological College, sought to intensify Jewish education in Chicago, insuring the continuity of traditional life in the city. They decided to establish a secondary school that would integrate general studies with a thorough Jewish education. The students are prepared for life as observant Jews and full members of society. Ida Crown Jewish Academy, Chicago's Modern Orthodox Jewish high school, is renowned for providing students with an outstanding education in both Judaic and general studies. The Academy is an affilliate of the Associated Talmud Torahs, the central agency for Orthodox Jewish education in Chicago.

    Hope 4 Kidz Outreach

    We are a non-profit, faith based ministry, reaching into the lives of children, teens and their families. We go into the highest crime, drug and oppressed neighborhoods. Through door to door visitation we are able to see into the lives of the children and find out the needs in the home, both physically and spiritually. Hands on ministry changes lives one at a time, making a difference one family at a time, ultimately changing one's destiny. In order to reach a person you must first understand their struggles, we are able to do this through one on one visitation.

    A national non-profit organization dedicated to servicing those who are blind and visually impaired. Since 1979, their mission has been to provide the tools necessary to help the blind and visually impaired independently explore and participate fully in society.

    Heartland Animal Shelter

    Heartland Animal Shelter is a no-kill humane organization dedicated to finding homeless pets forever homes while educating the public on spaying and neutering their pets in order to decrease pet over population. Dr. Herbert Preiser, DVM and founder or Heartland Animal Shelter wanted to make a difference by saving the lives of pets who might otherwise be euthanized because of the over-population of unwanted pets. Dr. Preiser opened Heartland Animal Shelter in October of 2002.

    Hanna Sacks Bais Yaakov High School is located in Chicago, IL. Itis a private school that serves 161 students in grades 9-12. It is all female and is Jewish in orientation.     In response to their communities, Easter Seals of Metropolitan Chicago provides comprehensive services for individuals with disabilities or other special needs and their families to improve quality of life and maximize independence.

    Childhood Leukemia Foundation

    The Childhood Leukemia Foundation is a national non-profit organization that offers a wide range of services at no charge to children living with cancer and their families. Our goal is to make sure children battling cancer know they are not alone.

    CLF works with over 140 specialized treatment centers and now serves over 15,000 children each year. Our children are age newborn to 21 and represent the full ethnic diversity of our country. If you would like to make a difference in the life of a child with cancer, we encourage you to make a donation.

    Caritas For Children

    Caritas for Children, founded in 1998, provides financial assistance for the health, education and general welfare of orphaned and disadvantaged children. In partnership with Catholic religious communities throughout the world. Caritas brings a future and a hope to children who have been born into a cycle of extreme poverty.

    Even today, there are millions of orphaned, abandoned and impoverished children living without food, without education and without hope. Most of these children can not be adopted, but they should not be forgotten. Through Child Sponsorships, Caritas brings these children the resources needed to live a life of dignity and purpose.
