This means a number of things for owners of used cars.
A recent poll from autotrader.com shed some insight on vehicles with a lifespan of over 250,000 miles: These included a 1983 Isuzu Rodeo SUV with 381,960 miles on the odometer, a 1993 Honda Civic coupe with 355,720 miles, a 1994 Toyota Land Cruiser SUV with 332,357 miles, a Nissan 300ZX convertible with 330,000 miles and a Ford F-150 regular cab pickup that’s clocked 290,000 miles.
While these may be a few gems, along the way they surely needed some help along the way. One way to keep your old vehicle ticking is by replacing the parts on the vehicle. Commonly replaced auto parts include: Engines, transmissions, axles, tires, etc.
