Details of Heavy Recovery of Excavator After Ground Gives Way
The North Shore Towing & Semi Truck Heavy Wrecker team recently received a call from a customer regarding a heavy recovery job. The customer’s location was a home remodel site in Morton Grove, IL. Their location is included in North Shore’s service areas of Northbrooke, Evanston, and Glenview.
The customer spoke with the North Shore heavy recovery dispatcher and explained the situation to the operator. A remodel and construction crew were doing work on the ground at the home. They were digging a trench for the new water main at the home remodel site.
However, the ground gave way, causing the excavator to fall into a hole. Unable to upright it themselves, they needed a heavy recovery team to retrieve the excavator from the hole so that they could continue with their work.
