Our tow service is hard at work helping with deliveries in the Chicago area.  Social distancing doesn’t mean goods aren’t being moved. North Shore Tow Service picked up this street cleaner in Chicago and delivered it to the city of Romeoville.  We know its a small things, but in times like these we think it’s important to celebrate small victories.  Cities still Romeoville still need to function and streets still need to be cleaned.

Details of Street Cleaner Moved by Tow Service

A call came into our tow service dispatch office. The dispatcher listened to the problem and then determined what vehicle to send.  The job was to move street cleaner from the city of Chicago for a client. The tow service dispatcher decided to send is lowboy trailer. The tow service team member started at the Evanston location of North Shore Towing & Semi Truck Heavy Wrecker Service.  He drove down Touhy Ave until he got to I-94. From I-94 he drove south past the Irving Park Ave exit. The tow service team member drove past the Addison Exit. He drove by Belmont, Division, Fullerton, Armitage and North Ave. He drove into the city until he arrived at the I-290 exit.  He took I-290 to California Ave. He arrived at the locatio where the street cleaner was parked. An employee of the company was waiting. The tow service team member backed the lowboy in close to the street cleaner. The company employee got into the street cleaner. The company employee started the street cleaner and drove it up the ramp of the lowboy. First the left tire hit the ramp and then the right tire hit the ramp.  The tow service team member carefully watched to be sure that the street cleaner was on securely and straight. The company employee drove the street cleaner all the way to where the front could be secured as well as the back. The tow service team member then gathered together towing straps and towing cables. First, the tow service team member secured the front of the street cleaner. He double checked to be sure it was fastened securely. Next, the tow service team member secured the back of the street cleaner to the lowboy. He used towing straps and towing cables. The tow service team member raised the ramp. He then got into the lowboy.  The company employee got in his own car. The tow service team member exited the company parking lot and drove down California until he reached 290. He continued down 290 until he reached I-355. The tow service team member then drove down I-355 until he reached I-55 in Romeoville. He drove to the sanitation department in Romeoville. The tow service team member lowered the ramp. The tow service team member removed the towing straps and towing cables. The company employee drove the street cleaner down the ramp and parked it.
