5 Cars Need a Tow After Snowstorm

Black Ice Means Cars Need a Tow

Black ice formed on the Edens last week during the snowstorm and five cars would need a tow. You may have heard about the 50 car accident in Chicago There was also a 5 car accident near Wilmette on the Edens.  We got the call early in the morning and within 15 minutes our trucks were there on the spot helping to get the cars on the shoulder, safe and away from oncoming traffic.  We moved a Ford Escort, a Honda CRV, a Honda Pilot, Dodge Caravan and a Ford Pickup to the shoulder.  They were all pretty badly damaged.

Next, came a short wait for the Illinois Highway Patrol.  Once we got the okay, we took four of the vehicles up to our lot in Northbrook Tow Location using flatbeds.  We want to thank the Wilmette Police Department for all their help as well as the Illinois Highway Patrol.

The big win was that we kept traffic moving and everybody came out this incident safe and sound.
