Towing Truck Moves Construction Equipment

Innovation takes the Forefront in Getting Construction Equipment on Towing Truck

The North Shore team received a call from a construction site in Chicago requiring a towing truck for a piece of machinery that had broken down and they were not able to move. The towing team dispatched right away with a sliding talbert trailer, arriving at the site within the hour, to find an excavator experiencing issues with its driving system.

Due to the excavator’s limited movement, the team had to think of ideas to get it onto the trailer while avoiding further damage to the expensive piece of machinery. An innovative decision was made to use plastic lids under the tires to aid with sliding the machine up the trailer. Luckily, the towing team keeps plastic lids on hand just in case they encounter this type of situation!

The towing team lowered the sliding trailer to the ground and the excavator was winched up – with ease thanks to it’s plastic accessories. After ensuring everything was secure, the team drove the piece of equipment to a repair shop within the city.

Another great job, towing team! Thanks to your imaginative thinking, we were able to complete a successful rescue.
