Fast recovery of a broken trailer with the help of equipment towing by North Shore Towing Chicago
North Shore Equipment Towing came to the rescue of a flatbed trailer loaded with heavy construction equipment as it broke down on the way to a construction site in Chicago. The trailer was carrying multiple pieces of equipment including a counterweight for crane and a box of tools. One piece of equipment weighed 35K pounds, another 20K and another 10K so you can easily imagine what a hell of a job this must’ve been. Luckily, the towing team over at North Shore Towing is always ready to face any challenge and they got to the site immediately to assess the situation and get to work. The fractured flatbed trailer had suffered some real damage: the main rails that runs from the front to the back had broken down completely. To get the load off the truck and have it moved to a replacement Landoll trailer a rotator was needed and so the towing crew called in the help from some colleagues over a Firestone (a sister towing company). The construction equipment was then loaded on the replacement truck with towing cables and towing straps and sent to the construction site straight away with only minimal delay. At the same time, the damaged flatbread trailer got moved to yet another replacement Landoll trailer truck and the whole job was done in an hour or so with a crew of 6 equipment towing experts. Well done, guys and great teamwork!
